Summary Table

A

Table that includes descriptive statistics and not raw scores. Standard practise to include a summary paragraph beneath table to explain results.

Bar Charts

A

Used when data is divided into categories. Conditions go on x axis and frequency or amount in each category on y axis. Bars are separate to denote dealing with separate conditions.

Scattergrams

A

Used when conducting correlation. Same pp provide data for both co variables so single point plotted per participant.

Histograms

A

Used when there is continuous data. Data can take any value so grouped before they can be represented in frequency table or statistical diagram. y axis is frequency and x axis equal sized intervals in single category.

Line Graphs

A

Used to represent continuous data and use points connected by lines to show how something changes over time. IV plotted on x axis and DV on y axis.
