What is an unstructured interview?
Like a conversation. There are very little to no questions prepared, but there will be a general aim to begin with. More questions build off answers.
What is a semi-structured interview?
Questions are prepared in advance, but interviewers go with the flow an ask follow up questions to answers given
What is a strength of using interviews?
-They produce extensive information
- It gets more detail than getting someone to write their answer
What is the name given to a person being interviewed?
Interviewee
Where do you usually see semi-structured interviews?
A job application, television, and radio interviews
How can an interview take place?
Commonly face-to-face, but can also be over the phone or text.
How many questions are prepared for an unstructured interview?

This is a prepared interview where all questions and potential follow-up questions are followed like a script
What is a negative of using interviews?
- Interview data can be difficult to analyse
- People may be uncomfortable revealing personal information, limiting the information collected
