  1. Provides operational control, planning and administrative services related to mission and operations assigned disposal team within the PNP nationwide
  2. Disposal of ammunition rendered hazardous by damage or deterioration and other unexploded ordnance items
  3. Provides technical assistance, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Support to the PNP and for Presidential and VIP protection
  4. Conducts EOD sabotage and counter-sabotage training to members of the AFF, PNP and for civil defense, law enforcement agencies and other public officials
  5. Responds to bomb threat calls and to detect, neutralize recover and dispose homemade/improvised explosive devices/ordnance items

  1. Provides advise when authorized, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Assistance to civil authorites
  2. Examines, identifies and report new, unusual explosive items for Technical Intelligence purposes
  3. Conducts researches on explosive items for self-reliance projects of the PNP
  4. Performs Court Duty as directed
  5. Performs other functions as higher headquarters may direct

Chief

Technical Responsibilities, 4

  1. Be EOD qualified
  2. Resposible for the performance of all EOD activities assigned to the Unit
  3. When responding to an incident, the Chief will retain the sole and personal responsibility to determine the EOD procedures to be used
  4. During the periods of emergency when the incident rate is so great the he cannot, in his judgment, personnally supervise all incidents assigned to his organization or during periods of authorized absence, the EOD Unit Chief may authorize and direct one of his EOD qualified Senios EOD PNCOs to act for him in the render-safe and disposal of non-nuclear explosive ordnance. Under these circumstances, the Senior EOD PNCO will determine the EOD procedures to be used

  2. Responsible for the preparation and follow-up of all vouchers and related financial claims of the Units and personnel thereof
  3. Withdraws and en-cash TWs and checks in favour of the EODD and its personnel

  5. Responsible for the maintenance of records, receipts and other documents pertaining to Unit’s financial transcations

Unit Security PNCO

  2. Responsible for the over-all security of the Unit and reports to the Chief all breaches of security/security rish thereof
  3. Sees to it that security clearance of organic personnel are updated
  4. Sees to it that all hazardous explosive/items brought into the Unit are safe and properly stored
  5. Monitors all activites of EODD personnel and visitors coming in and out of the Unit
  6. Performs other duties and fuctions as higher authorities may direct

  2. Knows disposal techniques such as detecting, access, identifying, timbering, rigging, driving shaft and removal operations
  3. Knows all types of U.S. and foreign fuses and detonating devices
  4. Knows safety regulations and procedures applicable to handling, transporting and destroying UXOs
  5. Knows how to operate and maintain all types of EOD equipment and vehicles
  6. Be able to identify buried explosive ordnance by examinin surface evidence as single of entry, size of hole of entry, flase crater formations, crater dimensions and any components which may have broken away from UXO on impact
  7. Performs other duties and functions as higer authorities may direct
