What is a species?
A group of organisms with similar characteristics that can interbreed to produce fertile offspring
How can you get hybrids that are fertile?
The two parents need to have the same number of chromosomes

Weight, height

Variation exists in the population, Due to mutations that affect your gene
What is second step of natural selection?
Advantageous characteristic help the individual in that species to survive
What is third step of natural selection?
Survivors have more chance of reproducing
What is fourth step of natural selection?
Offspring may inherit the advantageous characteristics
What is fifth step of natural selection?
The frequency of this characteristics in the popoluation increases over time
What is evolution?
Change in the inherited characteristics of a population
What are mutations?
Changes in the DNA that can be rare
