Section C PEES-guns becoming a common cause of death

A

P-firearm related deaths in America are taking over automotive related deaths as the most common injury related death in the USA.
E-this means that firearm deaths are becoming much more common than ever before and have take over as the most common injury related death in America.
E-CDC data shows that 23193 people died in 2021 4733 of those people were killed by firearms making it the most common cause compared to automotive deaths which were 4048.

A

P-one reason guns should not be banned in America is because the most common reason for owning a gun is personal protection.
E-this means that gun owners have admitted there main reason for owning a gun is for personal protection which means taking guns out of the equation would cause fear and and unease
E-source 2 days that three quarters or 72% of people say personal protection is there reason for owning a gun

Section C PEES-public option in America

A

P-One reason guns should be banned in America is because public opinion shows that the majority of citizens think gun laws should be stricter
E- this means that although it varies with political affiliation that majority of citizens want stricter gun laws.
E-source 2 shows 79% of democrats ,50% of independents and 27% of republicans belive gun laws should be stricter.

Section D-conclusions

A

1.one conclusion that can be made about guns is that they are causing a fearful environment in the US. In my survey in source one question 3 8 out of 9 people believe guns are causing a fearful and uneasy environment in America. Therefore this shows that guns should be banned as a large amount of people believe that guns are causing an unsafe environment
