A
They refract and then focus the light.

They use curved mirrors to reflect and then focus the light.

Cons of a refracting telescope?
A
- Some light reflects of lens so the image will be faint
- To get a larger magnification the lens needs to be bigger, meaning heavier, more expensive and harder to produce.

- Low image distortion
- Low maintenance
- Doesn’t require collimination (aligning of the telescope to get a clear view)
