its a 50% of killing and 50% of curing.
75% health and 25% killing you would you take the treatment
88% chance and 12% of killing you would you take the treatment?

Your 42 and 40 years left to live and a new treatment and you will be restored to perfect but it shortens your life.
Time Trade Off
Time trade off operating with years of life in exchange for perfect health
