  • Negative expressions go before or after verb, if placed after verb, place no before the verb also
  • When nadie and nada are subjects, placed before verb (otherwise follow preposition of which they are the object)

-Use pero to say but as in however

  • Use sino when you want to say but as in “Not this, but that instead”
  • “No sólo [ ], sino también [ ]
    • (Not only [ ], but [ ] as well.)

  • Means none, not a single one; match gender
  • Ninguno and ninguna can stand alone or to before noun
  • If ninguno(a) follows verb, place no before verb
  • Ninguno changed to ningún before masculine singular noun
