Routes under 10000’ MSL for military aircraft above 250 kts / IR = IFR route, VR = VFR route / Three digit number = above 1500’ AGL, Four digit number = below 1500’ AGL
What is a temporary flight restriction?
Restricted flight operations to protect people or property on the ground
Where are TFR’s around major sporting events?
Below 3000’ and within 3 nm
What are Class B airspace routes?
Published VFR routes around complicated class B airspaces
What is a VFR corridor? What are the rules?
It’s a “tunnel” through Class B airspace / No ATC or Comm required, specific vertical and lateral boundaries
What is a VFR transition route? Rules?
Similar to a corridor but ATC clearance required
What is the Terminal Radar Service Area (TRSA)? Rules?
ATC and radar services provided, no ATC clearance is required to fly VFR in the TRSA
What is a National Security Area?
An area with increase national security needs, pilots should avoid
What is ADIZ? Rules for crossing ADIZ?
Air Defense Identification Zone on American international boundaries, except Canada / File an IFR or DVFR flight plan, two way radio, transponder with altitude reporting
