A

1.Basic/ routine projections
- Projections used on patients who cooperate fully.

2.Special/ additional routines
- used when showing specific anatomical parts
- certain pathological conditions.
- for patients cannot cooperate fully.

General principles/ rules for determining basic projections

A
  1. Minimum of 2 projections( 90* from each other.)
    - exceptions,
    - mobile (portable) chest,
    - abdomen (KUB-kidneys, ureters and bladder)
    - pelvis
  2. Minimum of three projections when joints are in area
    of interest.
    * The projections are AP or PA, lateral and Oblique
