Q

What can be inferred if RV% is high?

A

Air trapping has occurred; air can’t get out.

  • Pay attention to RL/TLC
  • Doesn’t necessarily imply COPD: just hyperinflation. It could still be Asthma IF TLC and FVC + FEV1 are lower than normal or normal.
