Cornelia was the mother of Gracchi and Tiberius and was considered to be a very pwoerful women in Rome. Both Gracchi and Tiberius were murdered for trying to limit the power of the senate and aristocracy. She oversaw the education of them herselves which was unsual as that is the role of the tutor. Her father defeated hannibal. Her stroy shows that although women cannot vote in Rome they still are able to argue and debate their sons, brothers, and husbands about what the vote should be.
