what do humanists believe?
They agree with Catholics that is it everyones responsibility to care for the planet as if it is our common home.
Humans only have one life to live, if we damage the environment, we are damaging lives now and in the future.

Why should humans protect the earth?
God is not the reason why humans should protect the environment: it should be cared for as the natural world is beautiful and without it humans would not survive.
How would this change a humanists life?
Humanists would try to protect the planet by campaigning for better sex education and access to contraception. This would help to control the human population, as overcrowding puts a strain on the planet and its limited resources
