Proximal, medial shaft of the tibia at the pes anserinus tendon (wraps to anterior aspect of the tibia).

A

Sciatic nerve (tibial branch).

Actions

A

-Flex the knee at tibiofemoral joint.
-Extend the hip at the coxal joint.
-Tilt of the pelvis at lumbosacral joint.
-Medially rotate the flexed knee at the tibiofemoral joint; and the hip at the coxal joint.
