Define Mammary Duct Ectasia

A

Describes a dilatation and shortening of the terminal breast ducts within 3cm of the nipple.

Inflammation in the ducts leads to intermittent discharge from the nipple (may be white, green or grey).

(Ectasia = Dilation)
