On 9th of November they rang church bells backward signalling the start of the rebellion. om the 10th of nov they burnt and destroyed protestant prayer books in Durham Cathedral and held a catholic mass. they then wanted a fight but were retreated.

A

They moved MQS further south to coventry so rebels couldn’t get there. Elizabeths army had 12000 compared to 4500 in the rebel army. 700 men were put to death, at least one from each village.

A

ridolfi met the pope, phillip 2 of spain and the duke of alba in the spanish netherlands and took a letter from rnorfolk declaring his catholicism and support for phillip. cecil discovered the plot and used norfolks letter to prove his treason.
