Describe the palmers system
A
Mouth is divided into 4 quadrants and each tooth is assigned a letter of the alphabet eg A-E (perm teeth are 1-8)

Federation Dentaire Notation in 1971
A 2 digit code
1st digit indicates the quadrant and second digit presents the tooth position ! ie tooth 41 would be LR1! - commonly used in practice
