Q

How have weddings changed in recent years?

A

In my country weddings used to be very long. It means that the celebrations usually continued couple of days while these days weddings are just one day. Another difference is that there are fewer guests invited nowadays. I think this is because everything is getting more expensive these days, as a result, weddings are considered a luxury celebration so compared to past people have to pay more for fewer guests.

weddings are getting more expensive. And people have to spend more money on fewer guests.

Q

Do you think globalisation has changed your country’s culture?

A

Yes for sure. We live in a world where almost everything has been globalized. And it’s a serious threat to our cultures and language it is slowly replacing them with a completely new one. For example, people have started using English words instead of Persian ones or young people mostly prefer to celebrate foreign festivals such as Valentine’s Day instead of Persian festivals.

like Sepandarmazgan, marriage and relationships are no longer traditional, fashion has changed

Do you agree that globalization has negatively impacted cultures?

A

Yes. Since We live in a world where almost everything has been globalized, local markets have been dominated by multinational companies which means that national governments are going to have less control over their economy. Q

Describe a wedding you attended.

A

I remember attending to my cousins wedding. It was the first time ever that I attend to wedding of a close family member.
The wedding took place in an open space near the beach. The setting was stunningly gorgeous, with fresh flowers, lights, and candles. The food was delicious and had a wonderful variety of snacks.

I had a great time at this wedding. I adored the way it was celebrated, the way everyone talked about the bride and groom, and how joyful and lovely everyone was. It was a joyful occasion, and I liked every aspect of it. I was able to meet several members of my family that I would not have had the opportunity to meet otherwise. I made the most of the opportunity and took several photographs with the bride and groom.

enjoyed every bit of the celebration.
