-develop a strategy for how to process and represent the data
-include reasons for everything

-decide on your data sources and how you will collect it
-identify any constraints:
•when collecting primary data
•when researching sources of secondary data
•by recognising where issues of sensitivity may influence data availability
•through appreciating the importance of acknowledging the sources

What does it involve?
Data processing and presentation:
-organising and processing the data you’ve collected +consider use of technology
-generate diagrams or other visualisations to represent the data and include an understanding of the outputs produced by appropriate technology
-generate statistical measures to compare the data +understand the advantage of using technology to automate processing

-analysing and interpreting the diagrams and calculations/measures
-reaching conclusions that relate to the hypothesis
-making inferences and/or predictions
-discussing the reliability of the findings

What does it involve?
Evaluation and review:
-identifying any weaknesses in the approach or in the representation of data
-suggesting any improvements to the process or the presentation
-refining the process in order to find further clarification of the initial hypothesis
