Bowden Cable
Open - Under the driver’s window - Pull out slightly once, wait 2 seconds, pull out fully
Close - Above the door on the inside - Reset the red flag - It will then close when the driver keys in

What is TIS and what does it mean
Traction Interlock Switch When it is operated, it allow traction power to be regained without all doors closed (meaning the train does not know if the doors are secure)

What do we do when TIS is operated
Check the doors on both sides including the outside of the platformed doors When you reopen your doors only check the platformed side Continuously walk through your train throughout the journey

Describe the process of locking a door out
Ring Maintenance Control to gain permission Ensure the train has stopped Use your T-Key to bring the large panel above the door down Set the red flag to take the air out Pull the doors together so they are as close as possible Screw on the Tommy Bar Push until the doors 'clunk' Look for the illuminated Out Of Use sign Push the door to ensure it is secure Fill out the form
