A
Exposure to potentially traumatic event, leading to:
(1) Intrusive symptoms
(2) Avoidant thoughts and behaviors
(3) Negative cognitions and mood
(4) Alterations in arousal and reactivity (two required:
(i) Irritable or aggressive behavior
(ii) Self-destructive or reckless behavior
(iii) Hypervigilance
(iv) Exaggerated startle response
(v) Problems in concentration
(vi) Sleep disturbance)
***(a) Persistence of symptoms (in Criteria B, C, D, and E) for more than one
month.
