Bulbo-Spongiosus
N: Deep Branch of Perineal nerve,a branch of pudendal n. (S2-S4).A: Female:Supports and fixes perineal body; “Sphincter” of vagina; assists in erection of clitoris, compresses greater vestibular gland.Male: Supports and fixes perineal body, compresses bulb of man junk (penis) to expel last drops of urine/semen, assists erection by compressing outflow via deep perineal vein and by pushing blood from bulb into body of penis.P: Female- Perineal body Male: Median raphae of bulb of penis; perineal bodyD: F: Pubic arch and fascia of corpura cavernosa of clitoris. M: Perineal membrane, corpus spongiosum and corpora cavernosa, and fascia of bulb of penis.
Deep Transverse Perineal Muscle
N: Deep branch of perineal nerve, a branch of pudendal n. A: Supports and fixes perineal body/pelvic floor to support abdominopelvic viscera and resist increased intra-abdominal pressure.P: Ishiopubic ramus and ischial tuberosity.D: Perineal body and external butthole (anal) sphincter.
External Anal Sphincter
N: Inferior rectal.A: Constricts anal canal during perstalsis, resisting defacation, supports and fixes perineal body and pelvic floor.P: Skin and fascia surrounding the bum bum (anus); coccyx via anococcygeal ligament.D: Perineal Body
Internal Anal Sphincter
N: Parasympathetic via pelvic splanchnicsA: Constrict anal canal
Ischiocavernosus
N: Deep branch of perineal nerveA: Maintains erection of penis or clitoris by compressing outflow veins and pushing blood from the root of penis or clitoris into body of penis or clitoris.P: Ishiopubic ramus and ischial tuberosity.D: Medial aspect of crus and perineal membrane medial to crus
