Q

What is Quantiles? What is Quartiles?

A

Quantiles are points taken at regular intervals from the cumulative distribution function (CDF) of a random variable. Quartiles are the values that divide a list of numbers into quarters. They are three points that divide the data set into four equal groups, each group comprising a quarter of the data. Follow Below Steps: 1. First put the list of numbers in order 2. Then cut the list into four equal parts 3. The Quartiles are at the “cuts”

Q

What is Log Function?

A
  • If b is any number such that and and then, y = Logb X (Log form) and this is equivalent to b^y = x (exponential Form).
  • We usually read this as “log base b of x”.
  • We cannot take the Log of zero or negative numbers.
