▪️Political guidelines excluding any race, ESPECIALLY JEWS, from participating in organizations, federations, political affiliations, and overall, all public life and liberties.

Why most Amer. visitors to Germ. failed to grasp realities of Hitler’s regime?
▪️Caused by multiple influences.
▪️One being H. V. Kaltenborn, a famous American commentator who visited Germ. with his family and proceeded to inform the Amer. people that the dispatches regarding Hitler’s regime were “inaccurate and overdrawn.”
▪️Another being the Germ. Government campaign of influencing Amer. visiting Germany to report favorable happening in the country while in country.
▪️Another being the Germ. Governments propaganda campaign involving their decision to allow Rotary Clubs to continue and allow these clubs Jewish member to participate in the clubs. The reality was that Jews lost their jobs and no longer had financial means to be active in said clubs.

Explain in detail the circumstances leading Dodd’s to rent three floors at the Tiegartenstrasse?
▪️Dodd’s wanted to live “a more settled life.”
▪️His housing situation had long been an embarrassment for Dodd’s, seeing as the lavishly remodeled ambassadors residence was destroyed by a fire shortly before his predecessor was to move in, forcing Dodd’s to find lodging else where.
▪️He also wanted a more private residence to conduct important business affairs in seclusion.
▪️The property was made available for a reasonable cost and Dodd’s excepted the terms of rent.
