What vaccine combinations are administered at the two month well visit?
Vaxelis, Rotateq, PCV
What are the vaccines in Vaxelis?
DTaP (Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis) HIB, IPV, Hep B
What is DTaP?
A combination vaccine (injection) that protects against the following: Diphtheria (bacteria), Tetanus (bacteria), and Pertussis (bacteria) aka Whooping Cough.
What is RotaTeq and how it is administered?
RotaTeq is a vaccine that protects against rotavirus (aka gastroenteritis). It is administered orally.
What is the PCV vaccine?
Injection that protects against the pneumococcal bacteria (which can cause pneumonia, meningitis, and sepsis).
What is the HIB vaccine?
Injection that protects against Haemophilus influenzae type b, a bacteria which can cause a number of infections.
What is the IPV vaccine?
Injection that protects against [polio]myelitis virus, which causes paralysis.
What is the Hep B vaccine?
Injection that protects against infection from hepatitis B virus, whic can cause chronic liver disease/cancer.
