Overhaul and Undisturbed Evidence

A

All personnel shall be aware of and attempt to provide any investigator with as much undisturbed evidence as possible. Overhaul of the fire scene should not be initiated until the completion of the fire investigation, other than what is necessary to suppress the fire and prevent further extension.

Witness Forms

A

Any suspicious and/or unusual incident and/or when requested, personnel attending the incident shall complete a Witness Statement form. These forms are to be competed independently by personnel and describe each person’s observations and activities at the incident scene. The completed forms are to be forwarded to the PC and/or DC.
