Women were required to have certain requirements to be stewardess: age 20-27, height 5”2” to 5”9”, weight 140 pounds max, retire at age 32, unmarried, no kids

A writer that goes undercover as a play hunny for show magazine. Writes about male sexism, creates Ms. Magazine
Who was Betty Frieden?
Activist, wrote the Feminine Mystique. Helped create feminist movement to fight for women’s rights, equally with men, pride in womanhood.
What happened in Watergate 1972?
Former CIA member leaks secrets about Vietnam war. Nixon creates team named ‘Plumbers’ to stop leaks. Try to make Ellsburg seem like he’s crazy.
What did Nixon want to do in 1972?
Nixon wants to get reelected, established Creep Committee. Creep team hires plumbers to break into Democratic Party, they get caught
What happened in the Nixon Investigation?
Nixon denied involvement, tells people involved to lie and they will get paid.
What were the Nixon tape recordings?
Nixon won’t turn over the White House tapes, later does but some were erased.
Nixon being Impeached, what happened?
House committee votes to impeach Nixon, instead he quits
What was Disco?
Originated in New York clubs(often gay clubs). Part of soul music, fashion styles were platform shoes, bell bottom pants, light fitting. O jays, Gloria Gaynor, Saturday Night Fever changes everything, becomes into more white mainstream.
What happened during the 1970s hip-hop?
Late 1970s, hip hop was from the streets of New York City. Sugar hill gang first to use rap in song.
What happened during the 1980s( Hip Hop)?
Lyrics begin to reflect economic and injustices of black society. Grand master flash and the Furious 5, then Run DMC, merges with Rock and explodes as an industry
