Intense beam as all waves line up, increasing amplitude
Have low divergence - beam stays narrow and doesn’t spread

A
CD has millions of pits and lands
Beam reflected onto lands and pits is picked up by sensor
Changed into electrical signal of ons and offs
Amplifier and loud speaker convert signal into sound of right pitch
