What were the main causes of WWI?

Define militarism.
Militarism is the idea that a nation should increase the size of their army and military capabilities in order to protect or promote its interests.
Define an alliance.
An agreement made between two countries, where each side promises to help the other if required.
Define imperialism.
Imperialism is the claiming of another territory as one’s own.
Define nationalism.
A strong sense of pride in and loyalty to one’s nation, often leading to the belief that the interests of that nation are more important than those of other nations.
Define the Naval Arms Race.
Countries competing to get the biggest and best navy.
Define propaganda.
A plan to spread ideas and beliefs.
Define censored.
Edited news, leaving out damaging information.
Define morale.
Courage, confidence and enthiusiasm.

Machine guns, grenades, poison gas, tanks, planes.
