what happens in the first reading
in this reading the title of the bill is read aloud to the legislative assembly without any discussion. The members of parliament are then given copies of the bill.

what hapens in the committe stage
In this stage the whole of parliament disscusses and debate all the ideas and important aspects of the bill mentioned in the second reading. This is also where they discuss new changes to help better the bill
what happens in the third reading
Similar to the other two readings the bill is read aloud for the third time and any other new ideas are considered. Then there is a vote between the MPs deciding whether they are for or against the bill. If the majority of the legislative council vote for then the bill is sent to the legislative assembly where it goes through the exact same process.
what happens to the bill if given to govener general
Once the bill has gone through each of the other four stages including going through the legislative council then the governor general is sent the bill for their approval and if they do approve the bill it then becomes law.
