types of aircraft technical documentations
Aircraft Maintenance Program (AMP), Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Exposition (CAME), Maintenance Organization Exposition (MOE)
is a document containing the maintenance requirements/tasks that needs to be carried out on an aircraft in order to ensure its continuing airworthiness
Aircraft Maintenance Program
must be produced for each aircraft type by the Operator (AOC Holder) and subsequently approved by the NAA.
Aircraft Maintenance Program
Applies to items that have neither Hard Time limits nor On Condition maintenance as their primary maintenance policies
Conditioning Monitoring
A repetitive inspections or tests to determine the conditions of units or systems, comprising servicing, inspecting, testing, calibrating, and replacement
On-Condition
A maximum interval for performing maintenance tasks on a part or unit. Such intervals apply to overhaul, but also to the total life of the part or unit.
Hard Time Limit
is process oriented
MSG2
is task oriented
MSG3
task oriented process, analyses through system failure from the top down. Results in maintenance tasks that are performed for safety, operational or economic reasons
MSG3
to organize and manage all documents and publications for Maintenance Organizations Part 145 and Part M approved, like development and management of aircraft maintenance programs fulfilled.
Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Organization (CAMO)
identify the procedures, means and methods of the approved EASA 145 organization.
Maintenance Organization Exposition (MOE)
is a code unique to a single aircraft, required by international convention to be marked on the exterior of every civil aircraft. The registration indicates the aircraft’s country of registration, and functions much like an automobile license plate or a ship registration.
aircraft registration
what is aircraft registration alternatively called
tail number
is the repair, service, or inspection of an aircraft or aircraft component
Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul (MRO)
essentially all of the maintenance activities that take place to ensure safely and airworthiness of all aircrafts by international standards
MRO aviation
Aircraft Maintenance Inspections:
Line Maintenance
Base Maintenance
Aircraft Inspections
aircraft maintenance activity carried out whilst the aircraft remains in the operating environment
Line maintenance
includes daily and weekly checks, routine tasks such as lubrication and most importantly the evaluation and rectification of any defects
line maintenance
involves the removal of an aircraft from service, for a longer period usually more than one day and could be up to thirty days
base maintenance
this occurs in a hangar, wjere the aircraft is separated from its operating environment; specialized tools and equipment are required
base maintenance
presents regulatory requirements for the airworthiness of aircraft expected to operate in the Republic of the Philippines using the standards and recommended practices in ICAO Annexes 6 and 8
CAR Part 5
aircraft items evaluated depend on information such as:
aircraft make, model, age, type, completeness of maintenance records of the aircraft, and the overall condition of the aircraft
classification of airworthiness certificate
standard certificate, special certificate, experimental certificate
are provided by aircraft manufacturers to describe the repetitive tasks that are required to maintain their aircraft
Maintenance planning documents (MPDs)
