paranoid personality disorder
chronically suspicious of others.
schizoid pd
emotionally cold and distant from others have a great deal of trouble forming interpersonal relationships. They view relationships with others as unrewarding, messy and intrusive. other people describe them as uninterested, aloof, detached, dull, and humorless. aloof to others and sexual relationships.
schizotypal pd
(family history of schizophrenia) tend to be socially isolated, have a restricted range of emotion, and tend to be uncomfortable in interpersonal interactions. although the quality of those oddities speech and behavior is similar to that of schizophrenia, it is not as severe as in schizophrenia and people diagnose with schizotypal maintain basic contact with reality. ideas of reference,magical thinking, unusual perceptual thinking.

anxious and fearful. avoidant pd, dependent pd, ocpd.
avoidant pd
pervasive anxiety, a sense of inadequacy, and a fear of being criticize, which leads to the avoidance of social interaction and nervousness.
dependant pd
pervasive selflessness, a need to be cared for, a fear of rejection, leading to total dependence on and submission to others,
ocpd
pervasive rigidity in one’s activities and interpersonal relationships, including emotional constriction, extreme perfectionism, and anxiety about even minor disruptions in routine.

A promising treatment for borderline personality disorder that involes exposing the client to stressors in a controlled situation, as well as helping the client regulate emotions and cope with stressors that might trigger sucidal behaviors.
