A

examples: identifying explicitly stated main ideas, details, sequence of events, cause-and-effect relationship, story grammar like plot events, characters, setting, conflict, resolution (IF CLEARLY STATED)

inferential comprehension

A

ability of the reader to interpret what he or she has read

these answers are not in the text - reader must speculate based on the surface meaning

examples: inferring main idea, make comparisons, cause and effect, draw conclusions, make generalizations, predict using evidence from text, infer theme

ability of the reader to make judgements about what he or she has read
