Usage

A

Place thinners into the coat next to the skin in several areas. Then comb out in order to reduce the bulk of the coat. Also, use thinners on the top of the coat in order to reduce overall length of the Coat.

Cleaning/ maintenance

A

Thinning scissors need to be cleaned of hair and sterilised in a uv cabinet (or other sterilising system) daily. They should also be washed with warm soapy water every so often.also, the blades must be sharpened on a regular basis.

Advantages

A

1, Thinning shears have the advantage of not leaving a solid line so cutting errors are less obvious
2, They are blunt tipped and have curved blades making it safe for use around delicate Areas (such as eyes, ears & anus) .
3, thinners can also be used as an eraser for mistakes made.

Disadvantages

A

1,thinning scissors are very unforgiving to skin so grabbing the skin with scissors can cause a lot of damage.
2, The teeth of thinning scissors will bite/grind skin, not just slice.
3, daily sterilisation is needed.
