What lens is used to correct being Hyperopic?
Convex lens
What lens is used to correct being Myopic?
Concave lens
What does it meant to be Hyperopic?
You have trouble seeing far away
What does it mean to be Myopic?
You have trouble seeing up close
What is the function of the Cornea?
To help protect the eye.
What is the Cornea?
A tough clear, hard covering that protect the iris and the pupil.
What is the function of the Pupil?
It allows light to enter the inner eye.
What is the Pupil?
A dark circle in the center of your iris. It’s a hole that lets light into your inner eye.
What is the Function of the Aqueous Humor?
Helps keep the cornea in place.
What is the Aqueous Humor?
A clear fluid
What is the Function of the Iris?
To control the amount of light let into the eye.
What is the Iris?
A muscle
What is the function of the lens?
To focus on an image close up or far away and displays the image on the retina.
What is the lens?
A clear, flexible structure that makes an image on the retina.
What is the function of the Vitreous humor?
To help give the eyeball it’s shape
What is the Vitreous humor?
A thick, clear jelly
What is the function of the Sclera?
To protect the eyeball
What is the Sclera?
The Thick, tough, white outer covering of the eyeball
What is the Retina?
The layer of light-sensitive cells at the back of the eye
What is the function of the Retina?
To detect the images focused by the cornea and lens.
What is the Blind spot?
The place where the optic nerve leaves the retina.
What is not in the Blind spot?
There is no light sensitive cells.
What is the optic nerve?
The bundle of nerve fibers.
