A

What causes ITB Friction Syndrome?

A

Multifactorial

Due to training errors in running and cycling

Overpronation/hip abductor weakness a major factor.

What would be the clinical presentation for ITBF?

A

Pain “of the ITB” over the lateral epicondyle of femur.

How could we diagnose this?

A

Findings usually include weakness of hip abductors,
tendency to overpronate + externally rotate tibia.

Poor stability on a single leg stance is often found.

Leg length discrepancy can be a factor.
