What are the different modes of steering control:

A

Automatic follow-up: helmsman rotates steering wheel / Non-flow up: Emergency mode where the helmsman throws a toggle switch port or stud / Trick wheel: emergency mode where the helmsman passes orders with the course to steer circuit and or sound powered phones to a watch stander in the steering gear room. / Jam Nuts: The rudder can be locked into place or at an angle using a set of four large nuts per rudder / Emergency steering station: emergency steering from the location just above each steering gear room.
