What is a preset?

A

Preset is used where the value of the resistor can be set before the circuit is housed in a casing. A type of ‘mini’ variable resistor.

Q

What are resistors used for?

A

Resistors are used to control/restrict the flow of current in circuits. As a result, one of their functions is to protect delicate components. The resistance of any material is a measure of its ability to conduct electrical current.
