How do you import files into an Event?
Select an Event and click the Import Media button in the Event Browser
or
Choose File>Import>Media

Right click the Event in the Event Library

How do you create a new event?
Make sure you can see the Event Library. If not, click the Event Library Button at the lower left corner of the Event Browser.
From the Menu Bar choose File>New Event or
Option>N
What happens if you select the Find People option when importing media?
Upon import the program analyzes images and creates Keyword collections based on the number of faces present in the clip and the shot type. After analyses you will see the following Keyword collections: One Person Two Person Group Close Up Medium Wide
If you select the Analyze for Balance Color option when importing, how do you view the color balance correction?
Go to the Info Inspector with keyboard shortcut Command 4 or by clicking the Inspector button. Click the Video tab in the Inspector and select the box next to Balance to enable the color balance effect.
What are the advantages to transcoding your media?
Feature: The transcode process retains your original media files but also copies them using the Apple ProRes 422 codec.
Benefit: better editing and rendering performance and improved color quality
How do you set importing options if you want to drag media files directly from the Finder or another application to and Event?
To set import options for files you drag in, use the FCPX global preferences window, click Import and specify your preferences.
How do you create a Keyword Collection when importing clips from specific folders?
Select the Import Folders as Keyword Collections option. This is the default option.
Why would you want to create a camera archive as a backup?
Feature: A camera archive is a backup copy of the contents of your camera or camcorder.
Benefits: Clears your recording device quickly to make space for new content
Untouched backup copy of the raw material
Preserves the data structure used by your camera
To Know: keep your archive on a different partition or device than the one you use for FCPX.
Upon import choose the create archive option
You can move files from the archive into FCPX directly from Archive
