How do you create a new event?

A

Make sure you can see the Event Library. If not, click the Event Library Button at the lower left corner of the Event Browser.
From the Menu Bar choose File>New Event or

Go to the Info Inspector with keyboard shortcut Command 4 or by clicking the Inspector button. Click the Video tab in the Inspector and select the box next to Balance to enable the color balance effect.

A

Feature: A camera archive is a backup copy of the contents of your camera or camcorder.
Benefits: Clears your recording device quickly to make space for new content
Untouched backup copy of the raw material
Preserves the data structure used by your camera
To Know: keep your archive on a different partition or device than the one you use for FCPX.
Upon import choose the create archive option
You can move files from the archive into FCPX directly from Archive
