A

a patient will have 10% chance of dying from drug induced liver injury if:

1) serum ALT or AST> 3X ULN (upper level of normal)
2) serum total bilirubin >2 X ULN w/out findings of cholestasis
3) no other reason explains the elevation of liver enzymes
