What movements happen at subtler joint mostly?
ligaments?
Were are the compartments? whats contained in them?

A

dorsi and plantar flexion predominate at subtler joint so check
-medial ligaments are more stable so less likely going to get eversion sprain
-laterall ligaments are smaller so more prone to inversion injury
-anterior compartment- deep peroneal
lateral compartment- superficial peroneal

What are the things that would contribute to excessive hyperpronation?
And what would this cause?

A
  • obesity
  • hip abductor weakness
  • genu valgum
  • short a chillies tendon
  • high heels
  • tight shoes
  • weak toe flexors
  • posterior tibial tendon dysfunction

May cause:

  • plantar fascitits
  • posterior tibial tendon dysfunction
  • Foorfoot changes
    • metatarsalgia
    • hallux valgus (bunion)
