RV Lead Integrity Suite Flashcards

1
Q

What is Lead Integrity Alert?

A

Will extend NID to 30/40 and activate an alert if two of three conditions are met within 60 days: one abnormal lead impedance, sensing integrity counter >30 for three consecutive days, and/or 2 or more non-sustained VT’s faster than 220ms.

Q

How does LIA work in legacy devices?

A

Activated by high impedance OR Sensing Integrity Counter >/= 30 in three days and at least 2 NSVT faster than 220ms in 60 days.

Q

How does the RV Noise Discriminator work?

A

The algorithm looks at a rolling window of 12 beats after 2 TS or 3 FS to determine if the episode is noise by measuring the peak to peak amplitude of each event on the far-field electrogram. If either the average of the two smallest events are < 1mV or if there is a large difference between maximizing amplitudes and baseline senses, that set of 12 is classified as noise. If 3 of 12 sets are classified as noise, the device will withhold therapy as programmed.

Q

How do you recognize a lead integrity alert in first generation devices?

A

Under the Quick Look tab, then under Alert Events, an asterisk will denote an LIA alert.
