Home tab
This tab is where the user can change the themes of a document; add watermark, page color, page borders, and more.
Design tab
This tab is where the user can insert table, shapes, pictures, chart, page number, comments, hyperlink, and more.
Insert tab
This tab is where the user can format the page orientation( paper size, columns, wrap text, groupings in a document, and more.
Layout tab
This tab is where the user can create a table of contents; insert footnote, endnote, citation, bibliography, index, and more,
References tab
This tab is where the user can create envelops, labels, mail merge, address block, greeting line, merge field, and more.
Mailings tab
This tab is where the user can check a document for spelling and grammar, use thesaurus, show markup, protect document, and more
Review tab
This tab is where the user can hide/show ruler, gridlines navigation pane, split document, view document side, view macros, and more.
View tab
Reffered to as the “backstage”. This tab allows creating a new document, saving printing, opening an existing document, sending (through mail or fax), publishing or closing
File tab
Located at the top left corner. Provides quick access to commands that is frequently used. Save, Undo, Redo, New, Open, Quick Print and Print Preview appear.
Quick Access Toolbar
Located at the top (horizontal)and at the left(vertical)if the document. It makes easier to make alignment and spacing adjustments. The user can see and set tab stops, move table borders, and line up objects in the documents.
Ruler (horizontal and vertical)
Name the three types of window controls by default.
Minimize, Maximize, and Close button
This allows you to scroll up(vertical) and down(horizontal) the document.
Scroll bar (horizontal and vertical)
Name the three document views by default.
Read mode, Print Layout and Web layout
