3 Nephi 2
The people begin to forget the signs
The Nephites and Lamanites unite to fight the Gadianton robbers. The curse is taken away from the converted Lamanites.
3 Nephi 3
Lachoneus receives the letter from Giddianhi, and appoints Gidgiddoni to lead the armies. Lachoneus gathers all of the people to one land, and prepares them for war. The people are taught to trust in God, and that He will deliver them.
3 Nephi 4
The robbers have nothing to rob, so they attack.
The Nephites defeat the Gadianton robbers. Giddianhi is slain, and Zemnarihah gets hanged. They praise the Lord.
3 Nephi 5
The Nephites repent and forsake sin. Mormon speaks about making a record and gives his testimony of his calling and Christ.
3 Nephi 6
Pride enters into the Nephites, and many dissentions occur. Prophets cry repentance and get killed in secret. Judges become corrupt and combine against the people of God
3 Nephi 7
The chief judge is murdered, and the people split off into the tribes. Jacob becomes king of a secret combination and escapes. Nephi preaches repentance and raises his brother from the dead.
3 Nephi 8
Signs of Christ’s death
storms earthquakes and 3 days of darkness.
3 Nephi 9
Jesus speaks through the darkness, describes the destruction of many cities, and declares his identity and role.
3 Nephi 10
Christ speaks again,
“as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings”
the darkness leave and the people still alive are the more righteous.
3 Nephi 11
Christ visits the Nephites at Bountiful, they feel the prints of the nails, he gives them power to baptize.
3 Nephi 12
Jesus gives the sermon on the mount and the beatitudes compare Matthew 5

Matt. 6 - Sermon on Mount 2: Lord’s prayer, Hypocrisy, prayer, focus, trust
3 Nephi 14
Matt. 7 - Sermon on Mount 3: Judging others(mote and beam), asking God(good gifts), doing His will.

Law of Moses fulfilled; Nephites are “other sheep”

Jesus Christ teaches about the restoration of the gospel and gathering of Israel in the latter days. Isaiah’s prophesies will be fulfilled.
3 Nephi 17
Christ tarries a little longer, heals the sick, prays for the people (and His words cannot be written), and angels minister to the children.
3 Nephi 18
Jesus institutes the sacrament and give the disciples power to give the Holy Ghost and ascends into heaven
3 Nephi 19
the 12 teach and are baptized, the Holy Ghost is given; Jesus returned prays again “a little way off” three times.
3 Nephi 20
Sacrament again; God will remember his covenant with Israel

Jesus quotes Isaiah 54.
in the last days israel will be gathered and zion and her stakes shall be established.

Commands us to search the words of Isaiah
Chews them out for not having Samuel the Lamanite’s prophecies written down

Jesus quotes Malachi 3. messenger, tithes and offerings and a book of remembrance
