What happens in the legislative branch
They make laws and it consists of the House of Commons and the senate and the Governor General
What happens in the executive branch?
This branch consists of the prime minister, the cabinet and the Governor General. It proposes most laws and runs day to day meetings
Explain the judicial branch
The judges in the Supreme Court who discuss laws and that goes against the charter of rights and freedoms and it consists of the 9 Santa clauses
Explain the relationship between the branches of government ?
The legislative : makes the laws
The executive :enforces the laws
The judicial : judges laws that goes against the rights and freedoms
How do MPs get there jobs?
elected by the ridings and people
How do senates get their jobs??
Senates are appointed by the prime minister

People in their riding because we vote them in and ask them for issues to be brought up in the House of Commons
What is the role of political party’s in Canada’s government ?
Well there are any different political party’s In the government and they all have a different focus so it’s based on the people of Canada to chose which focus they like best

The Conservative party with a majority government

How does the federal Government involve citizens in decision making?
Well people living in the riding can bring something up to their MP who can bring it up as a bill proposal in the House of Commons

Lobbyists are people who usually represent a company who works to influence the governments decisions and law making
How do lobby groups impact the government ?
They impact by influencing decisions
How do lobbyists influence decisions?
They do things like make meetings and get the public to be on their side

MADD - mothers against drunk driving
NSRA - non-smokers rights association
