What is the Main Clause?
Strong part of a sentence which DOES make sense on its own = Independent.

What does a semi colon do?
A semi colon joins two seperate sentences together. The sentences MUST be related.
What can a semi colon replace?
A semi colon can replace a full stop - A semi colon joins two sentences together while a full stop seperates them.
What can a semi colon NOT replace?
A semi colon cannot replace a comma - A comma seperates ONE sentence into two or more parts.
