What’s the difference between applications and system software?
The applications allows you to do a task on the computer eg word lets toy type documents whereas the systems software runs and maintains the computers performance
What’s the difference between data and information?
Data is raw facts and figures without meaning. Information is data that has been processed to have a meaning
What is meant by a plug in?
A piece of software that adds functionality to an existing programme Eg to play flash games you need to flash plug in for your browser
What is meant by a driver?
Tells (instructs) the OS how to communicate with the device Eg you have to download a printer driver to make your printer work
What is a password?
A string of characters that allows access to a computer, interface, or system.
