Q

What is the apnea hypopnea index ?

A

AHI is reported as the number of apneas & hypopneas per hour of sleep. It is calculated by adding the number of H & A events divided by the total sleep time in minutes x 60

25+5+23+15 =68
68/360 = 0.18
0.18 x 60= 10.8
10.8 rounded is 11
