Previously understood her vocation was to be a “fervent Loreto nun” and teach at St Mary’s. SLE revealed her true “vocation [was] to the poor” of India, which she could only accomplish through leaving the comfort of Loreto, radicalizing her understanding of the belief in the Apostolic Church
Prior to the SLE, committed good actions FOR God, as a fulfillment of Jn 15:12. After, she shifted to do good TO God, through recognizing His presence in the “distressing disguise of the poor”, intensfying her understanding of God’s Immanence in man.
