• 1:1,000 1mg/1cc ampule
• 1:1,000 30mg/30cc’s multi dose vial

Precautions

• Inactivated in alkaline solution
• May increase myocardial oxygen demand as a result of tachycardia
• Do not give sc for anaphylaxis if skin of pt is pale cold and diaphoretic
• In code resuscitation antecubital IV preferred and after each IV drug administration immediately follow with a 20-30 cc bolus of iv fluid and elevate arm if possible in the field
• Inform RN of IV infiltration because can cause tissue sloughing, need phentolamine to counteract.
